CHRISTIAN FORMATION
"Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom: Enlighten by your Holy Spirit those who teach and those who learn, that, rejoicing in the knowledge of your truth, they may worship you and serve you from generation to generation..." The Book of Common Prayer, Collect for Education.
At Saint James, everyone, from Pre-K through adulthood, participates in Christian education and formation. When we speak of formation, we talk about all the various ways in which we grow in the faith, individually and corporately. As a parish, we reach spiritually for wholeness, an increased proximity to God and an ability to discern God's will for us.
Christian Education begins by nurturing young families at Baptism and surrounding the child with the household of God as it is reflected in the congregation at Saint James.
All that we do is an opportunity to learn and grow in the faith: our worship, our nursery, our church school, our youth classes and programs, our Sunday Adult Forums and, of course, the myriad ways in which we celebrate and give thanks throughout the year as we gather for special observances of the ecclesiastical year and...just for fun.
We invite you to continue to visit this site for information on our Church School, our Adult Education Forums, our book and bible study groups and other ways to learn and grow in the faith at Saint James.
