The Rev. Lynn Hade
Mother Lynn is Senior Curate of Saint James, assisting primarily in the areas of pastoral care and Christian formation. She was ordained to the priesthood on February 18, 2009.

A native of Ames, Iowa, Lynn graduated from the University of Iowa in 1981 with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She graduated from General Theological Seminary, in New York City in 2007. Part of her studies included time living in Malawi, part of the Province of Central Africa. She studied for an additional year in the Clinical Pastoral Care residency program at Lancaster General Hospital.

The Rev. John Symonds

Father John joined the Saint James staff on January 15, 2009 as Curate. On February 18 he was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Nathan Baxter in a service at Saint James.

Father John will be in a training role. In addition to assisting Lynn and Father David in worship and pastoral care, he will have special responsibility for coordinating youth group activities and supporting the Anchorage Breakfast program.

Father John has been working at Saint John's, Lancaster, where his vocation was first tested and where his work with youth and parents has been highly commended. He trained for ministry both at Lancaster Theological Seminary and at the Seminary of the Southwest, an Episcopal seminary in Texas, where he was recognized for his Hispanic cross-cultural Studies and his aptitude for Spanish. Before training for ministry John worked in nature conservancy, landscaping and managed sports and recreation programs.
