CALL FOR ACTION

M & J NEEDS YOU!

Call for Action!

So you are looking for a way to get involved in St. James and want to make a difference?

The Mission & Justice (M & J) committee of St. James is a dedicated group of volunteers who are making a difference in our community. You have heard about the support we give Carter & MacRae Elementary School through donations of time & talent through tutoring and food through the PowerPacks project and collecting school supplies for needy children? That is the M & J committee working to make it possible for parishioners to participate and get involved spreading the love of God in our community.

We also help organize the Winter Shelter program with Dr. McSparren and held and organized the first Homeless Memorial Service in Lancaster in 2009.

The M & J committee led St. James' response to the YWCA Race-Against-Racism and promoted the relief efforts for Haiti as well as many other opportunities for service.

If you feel called to any of these ministries, please attend the next M & J meeting, which takes place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the parish house. If you have any interest, call Lissa Olson (717.393.2855) or David Rutledge (717.687.0633) for more information.
