Directions From the North
From Rt. 222 North and the PA Turnpike, merge with US Rt. 30, bearing right or westbound. Stay in the right lane for Rt. 30 West to York, take the first exit for Lititz Pike, Rt 501 south and turn left on to Rt. 501 south. Proceed through the next traffic light where Rt. 501 merges with Rts 272 and 222. Proceed through the next traffic light and bear right onto Railroad Avenue (landmark is a Chrysler-Plymouth dealership). Turn at the first left on to Duke Street just after the auto dealership. Follow Duke Street south through four traffic lights. The fifth light will cross Chestnut Street in the 100 block of North Duke. Immediately after the light turn into the Duke St. parking garage. Exit the parking garage on the Duke St. side, cross Duke St. and walk south to St. James at the intersection of Duke and Orange Sts.
From the East
Take limited access US Rt. 30 West from Lincoln Highway East about 4.5 miles to the Rt 272 Oregon Pike exit. Go through the traffic light at the end of the ramp to the next light which is Lititz Pike, Rt. 501 and turn left on to Rt. 501 south. Proceed through the next traffic light where Rt. 501 merges with Rts 272 and 222. Proceed through the next traffic light and bear right onto Railroad Avenue (landmark is a Chrysler-Plymouth dealership). Turn at the first left on to Duke Street just after the auto dealership. From the South
Take WiIlow VaIley Pike (Route 222) into Lancaster City where it becomes North Queen St. Continue about 2 miles through the city square with its monument through the traffic light at Orange St. and at the next traffic light turn right on to East Chestnut St. At the next traffic light turn right on to Duke Street. Immediately after the light turn into the Duke St. parking garage. Exit the parking garage on the Duke St. side, cross Duke St. and walk south to St. James at the intersection of Duke and Orange Sts.
From the West
Just after the Harrisburg Pike exit on US Rt. 30 East (landmark Park City Center shopping mall on the left), enter the right hand lane following the signs for Lancaster City and Fruitville Pike. Stay in the right hand lane to the end of the exit ramp and turn right on to Fruitville Pike. Go through three traffic lights, over a railroad overpass where Fruitville Pike becomes Prince Street south. Continue through five stop lights to Chestnut St. Turn left onto Chestnut through one traffic light at Queen St., and turn right on to Duke St. At the next light. Immediately after the light turn into the Duke St. parking garage. Exit the parking garage on the Duke St. side, cross Duke St. and and walk south to St James at the intersection of Duke and Orange Sts.
Parish House Location
Our Parish House is located two doors north of the church at 119 North Duke Street. Lancaster, PA 17602. Here you will find the staff offices, the forum room for Adult Education and the Church School rooms.
There is limited parking in the metered spaces in front of the church along the 2nd blobk of North Duke Street. Several of these spaces are "bagged" on Sundays to reserve the spaces for those with special needs. Plentiful parking on Sundays is available in the Duke Street Parking Garage across from the Parish House and is free (only on Sunday) if you sign your ticket with "Saint James".
