Our youth programs are held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. each Sunday, September through May, unless otherwise communicated. Youth Group activities and special events are held at various times throughout the year, inlcuding St. James After Dark, a youth group experience, every Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Our Youth Programming is open to junior and senior high schoolers. The Junior High classes meet in the basement of the Parish House, located on North Duke Street, two doors north of the church. The Senior High group meets on the third floor of the Parish House, in a space just for them. Both the Junior High and Senior High programs handle Christian Education, spiritual development and Youth group activities. The groups are led by our caring teacher ministry teams. Our teacher teams are trained and excited to help our youth experience the love of God.

SAINT JAMES YOUTH

The Journey to Adulthood (Rite 13, J2A, and YAC) Program is for Middle School and High School students.
May Youth Gatherings
- Sunday, May 2: YAC visiting Annunciation Orthodox Church. As part of their exploration of other faith traditions, YAC students will attend a service and meet with the youth group at Annunciation. We will meet at Saint James at 9:30 AM to head over there and should return by 12:30 PM. Please let Emily know if you are able to make it.
- Sunday, May 2: Dinner and a movie for the J2A class from 5:00-7:30 PM. Building upon their discussion and growing understanding of poverty in the U.S., members of the J2A class are invited to watch and discuss the movie, The Pursuit of Happyness, over dinner with their teachers. Please let Emily know if you are able to make it.
- Saturday, May 8: YAC trip to Ikea to explore options for decorating and furnishing their room. More details to follow, but YACsters please let Emily know for sure if that date works for you.
- Sunday, May 16: All Saint James hike and picnic at the Millport conservancy - 12:00-3:00 PM. Youth are especially encouraged (families are welcome too) to join in on the Saint James trip to the Millport conservancy.
