Linda Bruce

Linda Bruce began working part-time on the Saint James staff as the Parish Visitor in January, 2007. She is responsible for coordinating pastoral care for homebound members of the parish as well as oversight of the Eucharistic Visitor and Stephen Ministry programs.

A cradle Episcopalian, she was a member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Yardley (PA) before transferring her membership to St. James in 1987. She has served as a Eucharistic Visitor, church school teacher, Anchorage breakfast program volunteer, and was a member of the Town Fair, Hospitality, Time & Talent, Communications, Buildings & Grounds and Evangelism committees, as well as being a charter member of POPs (Parents of Preschoolers).

Elected to the Vestry in 2001, she served as Senior Warden in 2003. A native of New Jersey, she is a graduate of Mansfield (PA) University. Linda has two sons.

Debbie Wetzel

Debbie Wetzel joined the Pastoral Care Team in 2010 as a Parish Visitor. Debbie has been at St James since 1995. She grew up in the Lutheran church before marriage and was confirmed in the Episcopal Church in Shippensburg in 1981. Her early work was in early childhood education.

She has been active in church school, Eucharistic and Anchorage ministries, Vestry and visiting programs since she and her family became members at St. James. She is a trained Stephen minister and knows first hand the grief of losing a child (Danielle) in 2002. Debbie and her husband Joe rejoice that their daughter Carlie is now at Colgate University and they are getting used to being 'empty nesters'.

Father David says, "Debbie is a key addition to the pastoral care team, serving along with Linda, Mother Lynn and myself. As we grow as a community we need to expand the care we can give to those who are younger and older as they face illness or the complex challenges of aging as well as death and grief."
