The leaders are licensed through the Diocese to conduct worship services under the aegis of the Rector. Training is provided at Saint James. Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer (8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.) are according to Rite II in the Book of Common Prayer. Noon-day Prayer (12:05 p.m.) includes a meditation or special reading, prayers and reading of several Psalms. Beginning January 3, 2012, services will take place in the Sanctuary. To volunteer or seek further information please contact Kathi Sabino, Coordinator at KathiSabino@comcast.net

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

It Takes a Village..Remember how great it was to drop your kids off at the nursery when they were little? Our Nursery needs volunteers to assist our paid, trained staff member in caring for children while their parents attend church or Saint James events. You can volunteer once a month, once a quarter or once a semester; while the staff provides structure and guidance, you can provide smiles and hugs. Such a deal! Please contact Kathy Spencer at kathleen.spencer@fandm.edu.

BE A EUCHARISTIC VISITOR

What is a Eucharistic Visitor?

Eucharistic Visitors bring communion to members of the parish who are
unable to attend church.
What kind of training is involved?

Following approval by the clergy and a two-hour training session, Eucharistic Visitors are licensed by the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and commissioned in their ministry at Saint James.
Then what? more

MONEY COUNTER NEEDED

JOIN THE NEWCOMERS COMMITTEE

EXCITED ABOUT ST JAMES? Share that excitement by welcoming newcomers as a member of the Newcomers Committee. This group organizes the parish response to visitors and newcomers and is looking for new members. If you think this is a ministry for you contact Kathy Sabino at 393-7685 or kathisabino@comcast.net.

ACOLYTES NEEDED

The Sunday 10:15 service need acolytes. Acolytes play a vital role in the service, and it's more interesting to sit up there on the altar where the action is. If you are between 8 and 18 you can carry the cross, torches or gospel book. Our acolyte teams serve every 5th week so it is not a big time commitment. Interested? Contact Mark Chien at jchien@ptd.net.

SINGING IN THE CHOIR MIGHT BE JUST WHAT YOUR BODY WANTS.

According to Victoria Meredith, a University of Western Ontario professor who used the school's adult choirs as a "live research lab," participation in choral music leads to increased respiratory function, improved overall health, a heightened immune system and improved brain function.

So, join the choir and get the benefits of exercise without the humiliation of Spandex.
Peace, Ron
You can reach Ron barnett at music@stjameslanpa.org or 397-4858 ext 16.
